How to Clean a Very Nasty Lasagna Pan

To clean a greasy pan easily, you can also add one to two teaspoons of baking soda to the water in which the pan is soaking. Then let stand until the food particles are loosened, then wash out as usual. Use a mild or a moderate abrasive if necessary. Baking soda is a mild abrasive that can also work as a paste when mixed with some hydrogen peroxide and rubbed on the grimy and dirty pot or pan. Leave the baking soda paste on the pan for a couple of hours and repeat if necessary.
Another way to clean a pan with burnt on food for copper saucepans or copper pots is to sprinkle the surface of the copper pans with some coarse salt. Then rub the salt into the stains with a half cut fresh lemon. To clean the bottom of copper pans, sprinkle the bottom of the copper pan with some salt, then take a dampened cloth with some white vinegar and scour away the stains. Salt is a great natural ingredient that can be used for a variety of cleaning projects and is one of the most versatile ingredients when it comes to eco-friendly cleaning.
