How to Clean Your Crock Pot The Natural Way
If you have a family, you know how busy life is. Getting kids ready for school, taking them to events, looking after the yard, and the house is full time. If you also work outside the home and have a spouse, that is added time that fills your life. For those of you that use your crock pot to make some of the meals, this appliance is one of your best friends.
I have a crock pot and use it a lot. It is perfect for family meals and pot lucks. Although well loved, I must admit it does not look as it did when it was taken new from its box so many years ago. Having gone on line I did see some methods of cleaning that involved some abrasive, toxic cleaners but I wanted to find a method that was more natural. I found this article and wanted to feature it.
Crockpots are also known as slow cookers. Slow cookers come in a variety of shapes and sizes and if you do not already own one and are considering adding one to your kitchen appliances you may be wondering what is the best to buy. They come in oval and round. If you plan to cook bread, the oval ones are easier to remove the loaf of bread from. As far as sizing, a 4 quart will feed 4, a 3 1/2 quart is so similar to a 4, but better if only feeding two to three and a 5 quart is the best size if you ar feeding a family of 4 to 6 people.
